StyleKit is run by Buy and Save Beauty Supply in Alexandria, Louisiana. It connects clients with independent local stylists, and a participating Buy and Save store gets each client's hair and products ready for pickup. StyleKit works in more than one city. Each city has its own store and store staff (today: Buy and Save in Alexandria, LA and Buy and Save Texarkana in Texarkana, TX), and your bookings and kits are handled by the store for your city. Questions about your data: thelegacycollectionhb@gmail.com.
Everyone: your name, mobile number, email and password (stored securely, we can't see it), notification settings, and that you agreed to these policies and confirmed your age.
Clients: your bookings, inspiration photos you share, messages with your stylist, the hair and products in your kit, pickup or delivery choice (and delivery address if you pick delivery), reviews and reports you submit, rewards, referral and store credit.
Stylists: business name, logo, banner photo, bio, Instagram handle, service area, styles, prices, schedule and booking policy, portfolio and before/after photos, Cash App $cashtag, client notes you write, credit and supply orders, and the photo ID and license or permit you upload so Buy and Save can verify you.
Your location: if you tap "Use my location", we save your phone's location and the search radius you pick so the app can show pros near you and sort them by distance. Only you and Buy and Save admins can see it, it's never shown to stylists or other clients, and you can remove it any time with "Browse by area instead". If you never turn location on, we don't collect it.
Live location when you're on the way: on the day of an appointment, if you tap "I'm on my way" and choose "Share live location", we send your phone's location to your stylist about every 15 seconds while StyleKit is open, along with your approximate distance and arrival time. Only that stylist can see it, only for that booking. Sharing stops when you tap Stop, when you arrive, or 45 minutes after your appointment time, and the location is deleted then. We keep only your latest position, never your route. If you choose "Just tell her I'm coming", no location is sent.
Looks (posts): after a finished appointment you can post photos of your hair with an optional caption. A post shows the style, your stylist, the date, and your first name and last initial (or "StyleKit client" if you turn your name off). Posts are visible to everyone signed in to StyleKit and on your stylist's profile. We also keep who liked a post, and the reports and blocks people make so we can keep Looks safe. Reports are seen only by Buy and Save admins. You can delete your post any time, and it's deleted with your account.
Blocking: a stylist can block a client from booking with her and add a private note only she can see. A client can block another client's posts. Blocks are visible only to the person who made them (and to Buy and Save admins), and the blocked person isn't told.
Booking details (new): if you join a waitlist we keep the day and stylist you asked for until a spot opens or you leave the list. If you book for someone else, we keep the name you type so the stylist knows who is coming. If you fill in the optional intake form (allergies or sensitivities, hair history, notes), it is shown only to stylists you book with and store staff for your city, and it's deleted with your account. Photos you add to a review appear on the stylist's public profile with your first name and last initial; you can delete a review any time.
No AI or automated decisions: StyleKit does not use artificial intelligence to make decisions about you, profile you, or generate content from your data. Suggestions like "book again around this date" are simple math from the style's rebook window your stylist set.
Signing in with Google: if you sign in with Google, Google gives us your name and email address to create your account. We don't get anything else from your Google account.
Error reports: if something breaks in the app, it sends us the error message, which screen it happened on, the app version, and your phone's browser type, so we can fix it. No names or booking details are included, and these reports are deleted after 30 days.
Stylist addresses: a stylist chooses whether she works from a salon or suite, or a home studio. Salon and suite addresses are shown to everyone. A home studio shows only an approximate area on the map, and the exact address is shared only with clients whose booking is confirmed.
We don't sell your data, show ads, or use tracking or advertising tools.
A stylist can upload her upcoming appointments from another booking app (for example an Acuity export or a calendar file) so StyleKit doesn't book her twice. Those records can include her clients' names, phone numbers, email addresses, the service, price, amount paid and her notes, including clients who don't use StyleKit.
In the app, only that stylist can see them. Store staff, other stylists and clients can't. StyleKit only uses them to block those times on her calendar. We never contact those clients, add them to any list, or share them.
Each one is deleted 90 days after the appointment ends. She can remove any of them, or all of them, at any time from her Calendar, and they're deleted with her account. If your details were uploaded by a stylist and you want them removed, ask her, or email thelegacycollectionhb@gmail.com.
Stylists choose how you pay deposits. With Cash App, you pay the stylist directly and Cash App's privacy policy covers that payment. With card in the app (including Apple Pay and Google Pay), the payment is processed by Stripe: Stripe receives your card details, and StyleKit never sees or stores your full card number. Card deposits go to the stylist's own Stripe account. In cities where in-app kit payment is turned on, you can also pay your kit total by card; otherwise you pay at the store's register. We keep a record of what was paid and when (amount, date, booking, and Stripe's payment reference) so the stylist and store can see it. Stripe's privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy.
Stylists who choose card deposits set up payouts with Stripe; Stripe collects their identity and bank details for that, not StyleKit.
A stylist's photo ID is only visible to Buy and Save admins, and it's deleted once the application is approved or declined. Licenses and permits are kept while the stylist is on the app.
These companies help run StyleKit and only get what they need to do it:
Map and font requests come from your phone, so those services see your IP address like any website would.
StyleKit stores your login on your device so you stay signed in, and may save the app for offline use. That's all. No advertising or tracking cookies, so there's no cookie banner.
We keep your data while you have an account. You can delete your account any time: Me → Delete account (stylists: Business → Delete account), or email thelegacycollectionhb@gmail.com.
When you delete your account, we erase your name, contact details, location, photos, intake form, waitlist entries, notes, reviews, notifications and login. If you had past bookings, an anonymous record of each booking and order (style, date, products, amounts) is kept so stylists' and the store's records stay correct. It's labeled "Deleted user" and isn't linked to your details.
Appointments a stylist uploaded from another app are deleted 90 days after each appointment ends, or sooner if she removes them.
You can also ask us for a copy of your data or to correct it.
StyleKit isn't for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you're 13 to 17, you need a parent or guardian's OK to use StyleKit and book appointments. Stylists must be 18 or older. If you think a child under 13 has an account, email us and we'll delete it.
Data is sent over encrypted connections, and access rules make sure people only see what they're allowed to. No system is perfect, so use a strong password and don't share it.
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and let you know in the app if the change is significant.
